Mailing list members are people that have registered for a given list to receive periodic email messages, such as weekly newsletters. If the software that is used to manage the mailing list allows it, you can also authorize members manually, but in this case such emails may be accepted as unsolicited and reported as spam by the recipients. Ordinarily, these members can unsubscribe from a list by clicking on a link in the messages they receive, or you, as the mailing list moderator, can manually delete them in case they ask for this or if you decide that some of the members should not belong to the list any longer. Each mailing list member will be able to view only their own email address in the "To" field of the emails they receive, but not the addresses of the other mailing list members.
Mailing List Members in Shared Web Hosting
If you’ve got a Linux shared web hosting package with us and you create an Internet mailing list, you’ll be able to manage the mailing list subscribers effortlessly. You do not even need to sign into your Hepsia Control Panel, as you can do everything via email from any location whatsoever. By sending out messages with certain commands to majordomo@yourdomain.com, you’ll get access to many features offered by our popular Majordomo mailing list client software. You can see a full list of all existing mailing list members, or if you need – you can add/delete members. If you include a new mailbox, the user in question will get a notification and will have to confirm that they agree to be included in the list. Deleting a mailing list member is also incredibly easy – you simply have to send an email message to the admin email address pertaining to the particular mailing list.
Mailing List Members in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you get a semi-dedicated server through us and you set up Internet mailing lists via the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel, you’ll be able to manage all your subscribers without any difficulties. We provide one of the most popular mailing list management software applications called Majordomo. It will allow you to view all your subscribers, to add new or to remove existing ones by sending an email message to the mailing list’s administrator email address, so you can administer everything without even having to sign into your hosting Control Panel. Needless to say, only you, being the mailing list admin, will be able to do that. New users will have to verify their subscription, so the email messages that you send out will be authorized and you will not need to worry about email messages getting reported as spam. We’ve also got a collection of instructional articles where you can find more information about how to manage the mailing list.
